A historic mansion on the Lake Pichola waterfront at Gangaur Ghat, built in the eighteenth century by Amar Chand Badwa, prime minister of Mewar, with more than a hundred rooms around inner courtyards. The haveli is now a museum showing traditional costumes, paintings and everyday objects of the Mewar nobility; it keeps its glass and mirror decoration, including two peacocks made of coloured glass, and Mewar paintings on the walls of the queen's chamber. Every evening its courtyard hosts the «Dharohar» show of Rajasthani folk dance and traditional music, with dancers in colourful costumes, some balancing pots on their heads, one of the most enjoyable evenings in Udaipur. The museum fee is nominal and the evening show has its own ticket, per visitor guides. Arrive well before the show to get a good seat, as space is limited.
