Honestly, no. It is a small statue in a residential district twenty minutes by tram from the centre, and not a major sight. Visit it only if you are already in the area or staying nearby.
A Brothers Grimm tale about a donkey, a dog, a cat and a cockerel grown old and useless to their owners, who run away together towards Bremen to become musicians. On the way they frighten off some robbers, take their house and live in it. The story stands for cooperation and for starting again late in life.
In Bremen itself in northern Germany, beside the town hall — the world-famous one, where touching the donkey's forelegs is said to bring luck. This Dresden sculpture is a smaller, far less known local version.

The Bremen Town Musicians statue is a bronze sculpture in a residential district southeast of Dresden, showing the well-known Brothers Grimm tale: a donkey, a dog, a cat and a cockerel each standing on the other's back. Every German child knows the story, about four animals grown old and turned out who decide to leave together for the city of Bremen. The statue is small and stands on an ordinary street away from the tourist route, and it is not a major sight. Anyone passing through the district or staying nearby can stop for a few minutes. Anyone visiting Dresden for two days would do better to spend the time in the old town. The famous statue of this tale stands in Bremen itself, not here.
