The Hamburg Dungeon is a scare show in the old warehouse district, in more or less the same building as Miniatur Wunderland. You move with a group between dark rooms, and in each an actor plays out a scene from Hamburg's past: pirates, plague, fires and the great floods. The stories rest on real events, but the telling is theatrical and deliberately overdone for entertainment. It lasts about seventy-five minutes. It suits teenagers and families with children over ten, and is not for younger children or anyone who dislikes the dark and sudden surprises.

It is dark, with sudden noises and actors coming close. Older children enjoy it; younger ones may be genuinely frightened and will not follow the stories anyway.
If you only have one day, Miniatur Wunderland without hesitation: bigger, stranger, understandable without language, and suitable for every age. The Dungeon is a fun extra for anyone with spare time who enjoys this kind of show.
About seventy-five minutes door to door, on a continuous route you cannot speed up or skip rooms in. Add queueing time on holidays.
