A high, flat-topped plateau in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park; a local saying holds that if you haven't climbed it, you haven't seen Zhangjiajie, and viewpoints around its edge look out over a sea of stone pillars on every side. A loop path circles the plateau between the viewpoints; its best-known views are pillars that look like giant fingers and a valley flooded with mist in the morning, and on clear days the view reaches the edges of the park. Visitors ride the cable car up in minutes or climb a long stone stairway in about an hour and a half; at the top are simple rest stops and benches for taking in the view. The cable car is about CNY 65 one way or 130 return, on top of the park ticket, per visitor guides. Ride up and walk down to save your legs.
