Easily: fruit, juices, nuts, sweets and olives are whole naturally-halal worlds, and the seafood counters are excellent. Pork is present as everywhere in Spain — simply pass those aisles by.
The small inner counters — pick one busy with locals, take a high stool, order what's cooked before you: grilled seafood, eggs, vegetables. Prices run slightly high; the experience covers the difference.
It is exactly mid-Rambla: walk the famous street from Plaça de Catalunya, turn in, then continue to the Gothic Quarter or the port. A passing half hour or an eating hour — hunger decides.

The Boqueria is Europe's most famous food market: an iron-and-stained-glass gate on La Rambla opening into a city of colour — fruit pyramids and juices in every dye, mountains of spice, nuts and sweets, sea fish on ice, and the tropical fruit-and-juice stalls that became its Instagram signature before Instagram existed. Seven centuries a market, it remains the city's first pantry: Barcelona's chefs shop here in the morning, and among the aisles small tapas counters seat connoisseurs on high stools — eating at one is the true market experience. Afternoon tourist crowds swallow the front aisles; the golden rule: come early, and push to the back lanes where the real market and the real prices live.
