Worth it as a cheap short addition, not as a destination. You won't know the characters going in but you'll understand them in five minutes — simply drawn cartoons about love and daily life that read without language or background. Its real value is as **a break**: the Riviera's museums are serious and dense, and this is a light place to laugh for half an hour between Picasso and the antiquities. It is cheap, and the combined ticket makes it almost free. But if you have only two hours in Antibes, skip it.
More than most museums in the area, provided you expect no interactive activities. The content is **cartoons** — simple lines and funny characters a child grasps at once without explanation and without language, which is rare on the Riviera. And it is **small**, so it doesn't drain their patience: 40 minutes is a realistic ceiling. But there are no screens, touch stations or play space; it is looking rather than doing. Pair it with the Provençal market and a walk on the ramparts for a balanced day.

A small museum on the Place Nationale in old Antibes devoted to a well-known French cartoonist: **Raymond Peynet**, who lived for years in this town. The museum shows hundreds of original drawings, prints and objects that carried the characters, and alongside them runs **temporary exhibitions by other contemporary cartoonists** — a section that changes and is worth asking about. It is a **short, light** visit unlike the Riviera's other, more serious museums, and that is its merit: half an hour of laughing after rooms of antiquities and paintings.
