A museum devoted to the work of the Málaga painter Félix Revello de Toro, in a seventeenth-century house in the city centre that was originally the workshop of the sculptor Pedro de Mena. The collection is figurative painting above all: portraits and studies of people in a precise realist manner. That narrow specialism defines clearly who it suits — anyone who likes realist painting will enjoy it, and anyone looking for variety will not find it. The building is a genuine addition: a restored Andalusi house with an interior courtyard, and inside it Pedro de Mena's workshop has been reconstructed as it was, an interesting part even for someone indifferent to Revello's canvases. The museum is small and the visit short, and it sits minutes from the Picasso museum and the cathedral. Add it if you have time left in the centre rather than treating it as a destination.
