Madurodam in the morning โ the whole of the Netherlands at miniature scale, and the city's most successful thing with small children. Then the Museon and Omniversum in the afternoon in the museum quarter. If time remains, Scheveningen beach in the evening. Trams connect all three directly. For older children swap Madurodam for the Louwman car museum.

The Museon is a museum about people, the earth and science, designed from the ground up for families and schools โ and among the best things to do in The Hague with children. Its permanent exhibition, One Planet, is built on the United Nations' seventeen Sustainable Development Goals: food, water, energy, climate, equality. Each goal has interactive stations, displays and real objects from the museum's collection โ fossils, ethnographic pieces, scientific instruments โ instead of explanatory text. The choice is deliberate: The Hague is the city of international courts and organisations, and the museum presents global questions to children in a language they follow. It merged in 2021 with the neighbouring Omniversum into a single institution, so a combined ticket is now the norm. The building is in the museum quarter near the Kunstmuseum and Panorama Mesdag.
