If you like modern art or architecture, yes. Baden-Baden is small and quiet, and this is among its main draws alongside the baths and the casino. If art does not interest you, just walk the promenade — that costs nothing.
Baden-Baden is small and the museum is a short walk from the centre. The railway station sits a little outside the town, so take a bus or taxi in from there and walk the rest.

The Museum Frieder Burda is a small, elegant white building on Lichtentaler Allee, the tree-lined promenade running through the middle of Baden-Baden. The American architect Richard Meier designed it and it opened in 2004. The building alone justifies the visit: glass, daylight and internal ramps that carry you up between floors. The collection is modern and contemporary art, assembled by the German publisher Frieder Burda. It includes work by Picasso and other twentieth-century figures, along with German Expressionism. What is on display changes often, because the museum runs temporary exhibitions through the year. It is not a large museum, and one to two hours covers it. Right beside it is the Staatliche Kunsthalle, another exhibition building, and a combined ticket is sometimes available. The promenade around the museum is free and lovely, particularly in spring.
