Prosa State Park is an urban park within Campo Grande, capital of Mato Grosso do Sul, covering about 135 hectares of remnant cerrado, the Brazilian savanna, with the source of the Prosa stream that gives it its name. A buffer zone around it restricts land use. The area was set aside in 1981 as the Parque dos Poderes ecological reserve and upgraded to a state park by decree on 21 May 2002, to preserve the city's last remnants of cerrado, with their plants and animals, and to protect its springs. The park has a wildlife rehabilitation centre and trails through the natural area, with visits by advance booking. It is a way to get to know the cerrado inside the city before trips to Bonito and the Pantanal.
