Putrajaya's main bridge, crossing the lake from Putra Square to the main boulevard over a length of about four hundred and thirty-five metres; it was built in 1997. Its design resembles the historic Khaju Bridge in Isfahan, Iran. It is a three-deck bridge: the top deck carries traffic as part of the boulevard, one level is for pedestrians and another was designed for a monorail. Minaret-like towers rise from its piers above the water, and some of the piers hold restaurants. It looks best at sunset and at night, when its towers are lit and reflected in the lake, and from it there are views of Putra Mosque and Putra Square. Walking across is free. Boat trips on Putrajaya Lake pass beneath it, so you can see it from the water too. Combine it with Putra Square, its mosque and the Palace of Justice on a day in the administrative capital.
