One of China's most visited museums, a large science museum on Century Square in Pudong, beside Century Park. It opened to the public in December 2001, two months after its halls hosted the APEC leaders' meeting, and reopened on 17 February 2026 after a renovation. The renewed galleries include «One-Metre World» for young children, «Symbiotic Planet» on nature and climate, «Exploring Flight» on aircraft, «Amazing Me» on the human body and «Light of Exploration» on physics, and some of them hold short immersive shows that need booking in advance. Tickets cost CNY 45 and are sold online in advance; it is open from 9 am to 5 pm and closed on Mondays, per visitor guides. The metro station named after it, on line 2, is right underneath.
