Ten museums on one ticket: Vapriikki fills the old Tampella engineering works on the eastern bank of the rapids with museums side by side — the Finnish Hockey Museum with the world cup and hall of fame, the Finnish Museum of Games (from Angry Birds to board games), the Shoe Museum, the Natural History Museum with its dioramas, the Postal Museum, the Mineral Museum and the Doll Museum — plus a permanent show on Tampere's history and major temporary exhibitions. The place is built for families: each museum takes an hour or half, children move from hockey to games to shoes without boredom, and the central café rests the adults. The best rainy-day investment in Tampere without rival. Ten minutes from the centre across the rapids, next to the Finlayson area.
