A large park west of central Wuxi, founded in 1958, that brings together two well-known hills: Xi Hill, whose name means «Tin Hill», and the higher Mount Hui; its heights look out over the city, the Grand Canal and Lake Tai on the horizon. On the top of Xi Hill stands the tall Dragon Light Pagoda, one of Wuxi's emblems, reached by stone paths through the trees, while a cable car climbs from the park to the summit of Mount Hui; the park also has small lakes, pavilions and flower gardens and holds a chrysanthemum show in autumn. Within its bounds lie the classical Jichang Garden, the Second Spring under Heaven and Huishan Ancient Town, and a local tale says the First Emperor, Qin Shi Huang, once visited Xi Hill. The park area alone costs about CNY 10, with free entry through the Guhuashan and Qinyuan gates, and the cable car costs about CNY 40 one way and 60 return, per visitor guides.
