Liebfrauenberg is a small, quiet square in Frankfurt's shopping district, holding the fourteenth-century Church of Our Lady, run today by Capuchin friars. The church is small and free to enter, and inside it is surprisingly calm even though the busy shopping street is metres away. At the centre of the square stands an eighteenth-century fountain with small figures. The square is also known as a place where the friars serve food to those in need every day, a work that has gone on for decades. It is a good spot to rest for a few minutes between shopping and walking.
