An entertainment park in Tashkent set around a small lake with a colourful fairy-tale castle at its centre, surrounded by cobbled streets of buildings in the style of old European towns, full of cafés, restaurants, shops and rides. It is loveliest in the evening, when the buildings and the castle glow in coloured light reflected on the water, and a musical fountain show plays after dark about every 40 minutes, set to well-known tunes and bright lights. You can also take a boat out on the lake. It is the city's favourite family outing, mixing rides for children with restaurants and strolling, beside the large National Park; the nearest metro station is Xalqlar Do'stligi. Entry is free, with rides and some facilities paid separately, and it opens daily from 10 am to 10 pm, per visitor guides.
