A leisure and shopping complex around a lake linked to Shenzhen Bay in the OCT tourist area, known in Chinese as «Happy Coast», bringing together restaurants, cafés, shops and theatres along open waterfront walkways. Its elegant low-rise buildings are spread around the lake and canals, and its paths link to Shenzhen Bay Park and the mangroves, so it feels like a seaside resort in the middle of the city. In the evening the buildings and walkways light up and water and light shows are held on some nights, making it one of Shenzhen's loveliest spots for an evening out with the family. Entry is free, and it's busiest in the evening and at weekends. It's a short walk from Splendid China and Window of the World; many restaurants serve pork and alcohol, so ask about ingredients.
