A complex of eight towers at the tip of the Yuzhong peninsula at Chaotianmen, where the Jialing River meets the Yangtze, designed by the architect Moshe Safdie and counted among the most expensive building projects in China. Its best-known feature is the Crystal, a 300 m horizontal skybridge linking the tops of four towers like a glass ship hanging in the sky; it's the world's second-highest skybridge between towers, after the bridge of Riyadh's Kingdom Centre. The skybridge has a glass-floored viewing deck over the meeting of the rivers, the bridges and the whole hill city, with thrill activities such as a swing and an edge walk, and a huge mall fills the base. The viewing deck costs about CNY 120 on weekdays and 128 at weekends, with extra activities priced higher, per visitor guides. Come just before sunset to see the city by day and lit up.
