A huge urban park of 105 hectares on the Marina Bay waterfront, made up of three gardens, the largest being Bay South at 54 hectares, part of Singapore's plan to turn itself from a «Garden City» into a «City in a Garden». Its icon is the Supertree Grove, towering steel structures clothed in climbing plants that look like trees from a fantasy world, some of them linked by a skyway that visitors walk between their crowns. Every evening the free «Garden Rhapsody» light and music show plays among the Supertrees, and people lie on the ground to watch the lights dance overhead. The gardens also have Dragonfly Lake, themed gardens and walking paths. The outdoor gardens and the evening show are free, while the two glass conservatories and the skyway are ticketed. Come late in the day to see the gardens in daylight and the show after dark.
