Isla Mágica is Seville's theme park with a theme like no other: the city's own sixteenth century — the age of fleets and gold — its lands being Seville's harbour, legendary America, the pirates' lair and El Dorado, with water coasters, ships and live pirate battles. Built on the Expo 92 island of Cartuja, its size is family-kind: one day covers it without racing — the suspended Jaguar coaster for the brave, a full water sector (Agua Mágica in summer), and street theatre through the day. For a family spending days in Seville it is the perfect decompression from monument density — clearly gentler-priced than Europe's giant parks, and southern-shaded: summer here is emphatically aquatic.
