Granada's Grand Mosque is a standing historical event: the first congregational mosque built in the city since its fall in 1492 — opened in 2003 after two decades' endeavour, in the Albaicín's heart steps from the San Nicolás lookout, returning the adhan to upper Andalusia's quarters after five centuries of silence.
