No — looking is completely free and nobody expects a purchase. But the space is very tight, so if it is busy it is courteous not to linger too long photographing. Buying is possible and their products are good if you want to.
Twenty minutes is plenty — the shop is a single small room. Combine it with a walk in the Neustadt, which has cafés and independent shops, or with Albrechtsberg Palace along the same road.
Yes if you like odd, beautiful places — and it is free and close by. But set your expectations: it is a small single-room shop, not a major sight. Twenty enjoyable minutes, no more.

Pfunds Molkerei is a small shop in Dresden's Neustadt that holds an official Guinness title: the most beautiful dairy shop in the world. The reason is that its walls, floor and ceiling are covered entirely in hand-painted ceramic tiles from 1892, in colours and patterns that leave not a centimetre bare. The shop still genuinely trades, selling cheese, milk, dairy products and gifts. Looking round is free, but the space is very small and fills quickly with visitors who come to photograph it. Upstairs is a small café. The visit is short but among the most memorable things in Dresden.
