It sits on Sibiu's wall line, so the natural arrangement is to walk the circuit past the Carpenters' Tower and the others and finish in the Large Square. Sibiu is small and all of that is within a short walk.

A fifteenth-century defensive tower in Sibiu's walls, called the Thick Tower for the depth of its masonry, and today home to Thalia Hall and the seat of the state philharmonic. The conversion is what makes it interesting: in 1788 the interior was turned into a theatre, among the oldest in this part of Europe. The interior is in practice entered by attending a concert, since there is no regular museum tour.
