No — but it is on your main street, so enter in passing. Nice's more visit-worthy church is the Russian Orthodox Cathedral (St Nicholas) with its coloured domes — that merits the special trip, this a pass-through stop.

The Notre-Dame Basilica is Nice's largest church and the landmark of its main avenue, Jean Médecin: a neo-Gothic front with twin towers (1868) modelled on the cathedrals of northern France — elegantly odd amid Riviera architecture, a witness to Nice's expansion when it became French after Savoyard centuries. Inside is spacious Gothic with stained glass and a surprising height — a stop of quiet steps from the shopping street's bustle. A short visit completing the centre walk between Place Masséna and the station.
