Hydropolis is Europe's only museum of its idea: a knowledge centre devoted exclusively to the water drop — inside a domed historic reservoir (1893), partly underground — its entrance a declaration: a printed rain-curtain gate you walk through literally dry (sensors parting the waterfall around you). Eight immersive zones: the ocean deep with a complete replica of the Trieste dive capsule, the water-civilisations hall (Baghdad's and Andalusia's wheels and canals present), a humid living rainforest, the ice zone, and the Blue Planet dome with its shows — interaction the rule of everything, children touching, turning and safely splashing. It is the jewel of modern water-city Wroclaw on the Oder's south bank — twenty minutes' walk from the Rynek across the bridges — and the family's first rain-and-heat option by absolute cleverness.
