Moscoso Park is a historic park in central Vitória, opened in 1912, best known for its «Concha Acústica», the open-air shell stage opened in 1952 under governor Jones dos Santos Neves, as part of the first intervention in the park designed by the architect Francisco Bolonha. The shell is a tilted spherical dome set into part of the paving and surrounded by a reflecting pool, its concave face turned toward the stage, while the audience sits on backless benches of gradually increasing curve; a stage shaped as a prism on a trapezoid base links the two. The shell was restored in May 2012 for the park's centenary and is listed as state cultural heritage. The park makes a short stroll among the trees of the city centre, near the Capixaba Market and the Gruta da Onça park.
