That named it.
Rua das Pedras is the best-known street in Búzios, the chic seaside resort east of Rio de Janeiro, named after its traditional paving of vertically cut stones. It runs along the sea in the heart of town, lined with restaurants, cafés, fashion shops and art galleries, and draws visitors from around the world all year. By day it is a quiet street for shopping and strolling; in the evening it fills with people, more so in high season and on holidays, and many of its venues are bars and nightclubs. It also holds the old fishermen's club from the 1950s, a reminder that the town began as a fishing village. From its end you can carry on along the Orla Bardot waterfront. If you prefer calm, come by day or early in the evening.
