Czechia's biggest playground of science: VIDA!, in the former exhibition pavilion near the city stadium, spreads five thousand metres with one hundred eighty hands-on experiments — a water tornado spun at a press, a bed of nails you truly lie on, an earthquake shaking its platform beneath you, and a bicycle crossing a high-wire over the hall (yes — physics holds you). Four planetary wings: Earth (volcanoes and weather you present yourself), Civilisation (economy, body, city), Man (the sense-illusion section the most fun), and under-sixes their own water-and-sand kingdom — with science-theatre shows of explosions and liquid nitrogen at daily times worth planning around. The family measure is simple: half a day dissolves here entirely — and adults without children leave enjoying themselves against expectation: Brno's truest review being 'we regretted the hours we hadn't budgeted for it'.
